Blights on Neighborhoods

Over the years we have seen so many abandoned homes:

• Sit vacant,
• Get neglected and overgrown,
• Get taken over by vagrants,
• Turn into drug dens,
• Bring crime to the area,
• Catch fire,
• And more,
• None of it good.

What Can Be Done?

Neighbors usually want these places cleaned up. Law enforcement is often powerless. Why? Because the owners have to make the complaints. If the owners can’t be found, usually nothing can be done.

Our Solution

• We:
  • Form a trust,
  • Pay off the back taxes, and
  • Do the legal work to clear the title.
• The church:
  • Becomes a beneficiary of the trust,
  • Takes possession of the home,
  • Appoints a caretaker, usually to live in, and, eventually,
  • Gets clear title.
